5miles to Integrate CyberMiles Token into Online Marketplace

On the heels of CyberMiles’ initial coin offering, leading local marketplace app releases latest version with 5miles Wallet integration of new cryptocurrency

CyberMiles (CoinMarketCap: CMT), a new blockchain platform designed and optimized for commercial applications, has announced its first strategic partnership with leading peer-to-peer marketplace, 5miles. CyberMiles, which aims to empower the decentralization of online marketplaces, recently concluded a successful initial coin offering, raising nearly $30 million (USD) from contributors in more than 110 countries.

As a first step in the partnership, 5miles has integrated CMT* into the latest version of its app. The new version, released Dec. 6 on both Android and iOS, introduces a number of features into the 5miles Wallet, among them:

Your first e-commerce bitcoin, CMT, in your 5miles Wallet. You can check your CMT balance and use it to pay for products, services, group membership, and sales tools.
List your first item on the marketplace to earn your first CMT.
Check the latest updates on the CyberMiles Foundation and join the growing CyberMiles community.

Within the month, 5miles also plans to release additional CMT enhancements including the option for users to get CMT via an invitation code. Simply invite family, friends and neighbors to join 5miles and you can earn extra CMT to use on the 5miles marketplace.

“A great frontier of cryptocurrency is its viability as a method of payment for everyday goods and services,” Dr. Lucas Lu, a founding member of the CyberMiles Foundation as well as the 5miles marketplace, said. “The 5miles-CyberMiles partnership promises to deliver just that, and we’re proud that our marketplace app can be on the forefront.”

With 700 million CMT already allocated during the private and public stages of CyberMiles ICO, CMT will be among the very first cryptocurrencies to be used for real-world commercial transactions between businesses and consumers.

5miles, for its part, is planning to be the first decentralized app (“dapp”) to use CyberMiles’ blockchain protocol, itself a mainstream blockchain technology for real-world businesses. 5miles will migrate its 12+ million existing users (along with more than $3 billion in marketplace transactions annually) to CyberMiles in 2018.

About CyberMiles
CyberMiles is a new decentralized blockchain protocol optimized for business transactions. Initiated in the fall of 2017 by 5xlab, a blockchain development laboratory, and since incorporated (in Hong Kong) as the nonprofit CyberMiles Foundation, CyberMiles (CMT) uses innovative “smart business contract” modules to facilitate and process transactions simply, effectively, and with transparency. This technology focuses on commercial applications with protocols that ensure the appropriate balance between vertical effectiveness and network compatibility.

About 5miles
5miles is a free, local marketplace app, one of the fastest-growing online shopping ventures in the United States. The app is the first of its kind to include services, housing and jobs, in addition to second-hand trading. 5miles launched in January 2015, immediately setting itself apart with an easy-to-use mobile interface, identity verification capabilities (for added safety and security), mobile payment and shipping options, and a hyper-local curation of offerings users can search—all within their very own neighborhoods. Since then, buyers and sellers in every major market coast-to-coast have transacted more than $5 billion in merchandise through 5miles, which Google Play has ranked a top 10 shopping app.
