Velocity Ledger, a Blockchain Utility for Illiquid Real Estate Securities has Restructured its Offering to Operate as a “Utility Credit Token” to Accelerate Adoption


The blockchain utility is designed to provide real estate sponsors, investment banks, financial advisory firms and end-investors with distributed ledger-based asset tokenization that can be used for issuance, trading and settlement solutions for Non-Traded REITs, Delaware Statutory Trusts and Limited Partnership interests in institutional joint ventures.






Velocity Ledger’s restructured token offering will operate as credits for prospective use of the utility’s issuance, trade-related and settlement services. The new sale date for Utility Credit Tokens to be announced in February 2018. Industry feedback for the new solution has been extremely positive and additional time is required to properly structure the offering. Velocity Ledger’s utility credit token sale will be offered over the DBOT ATS LLC crowdfunding portal there will be no secondary trading market for the tokens.

DBOT ATS will operate as a partner to Velocity Ledger and a venue for illiquid regulated real estate securities for issuance and secondary trading.. DBOT will be the first in a cross-platform community of regulated securities markets to manage ledger operations on the utility. DBOT ATS will accept Velocity Ledger utility credit tokens as a means of payment for services. Tokens will not be subject to redemption by either Velocity Ledger or DBOT ATS.

After the initial launch, the partners plan to expand the implementation of the platform’s blockchain technology to disrupt other process-intensive real estate verticals, including the trust and title industries.
